Four Tips To Help You Start Fresh This Season

A new season is an opportunity for a fresh start and to get back in touch with your goals.  It’s also a great time to do some cleaning.  Both mentally, emotionally, and physically.  Get rid of what’s not working in order to make room for what can help you to achieve your goals and live your dream life.  Here are four tips to help you start fresh this season.

 

Reassess Your Goals

Begin by doing a review of the past quarter.  Think about what you’ve been working on and what progress you’ve made.  Don’t get down if you’re not quite where you’d hope you’d be.  A new season is the perfect time to reassess your goals and start fresh.  If something isn’t working for you, now is the time to make some changes.  Reassess your goals, make any changes, and recommit to what you want to achieve.

 

Clean Up Your Environment

Your environment is where you spend the most time.  Your environment can impact your mood tremendously so tidy up and do some cleaning.  Declutter your space by organizing your desk, clean out your car, go through your closet, pantry, and other areas of your home.  Clean up your environment so that it’s not so chaotic and filled with stuff.  Taking the time to reduce your clutter will provide you with a mental sense of calm.  Plus, you’ll feel amazing getting rid of things that you no longer need or use.  It may seem like a lot of work but you’re removing the clutter that’s mentally holding you back from achieving your goals.  Your mind keeps going to these unorganized areas which only causes undue stress and anxiety.  You may not see it but you’ll feel a weight lifted off your shoulders by doing some simple cleaning.

 

Digital Cleanse

You’ve heard people take a day or weekend off of social media.  You don’t have to go to that extreme.  But, take a look at your email inbox, your social media accounts, and any digital reoccurring subscriptions.  Unsubscribe from promotional emails, unfollow accounts that are no longer serving you, and cancel any digital subscriptions that you’re not using.  Make sure to surround yourself with positivity.  That means, confirm you have motivational messages in your inbox.  Follow inspirational accounts on social media.  Subscribe to content that helps you improve and become better.  If you’re afraid to unfollow someone on social media you can always mute their stories or posts.  There is so much clutter with digital distractions, it’s important to take a look at what you’re consuming each day.  Make sure it’s filled with things that light you up, encourage you, and support you to achieve your goals so that you can live your dream life.

 

Plan Some Fun

Plan some fun activities for this new season.  This could include getting out in nature, going for a walk outdoors, or gardening.  Maybe it’s getting creative and painting with art supplies.  Plan something fun you can do that will reignite your excitement and get you out of your normal daily routine.  Perhaps that’s a weekend getaway, scheduling some self care, or reconnecting with a friend.  Find something fun you can do that will rekindle your excitement and passion for life!

 

 

A new season can represent the start of a new beginning.  First, reassess your goals and recommit to what matters most in your life.  Next, do some cleaning and tidy up your environment.  You’ll feel so much better when you see less clutter.  Then, compete a digital cleanse and eliminate content that isn’t helping you live your best life.  Lastly, plan some fun activities to shake things up and bring more joy into your life.  All of these things will help you get back on track with your goals, reignite your excitement for life, and start fresh this season.
