Find Meaning In Life's Situations

Feb 21, 2019

You may be thinking the goal in life is to be happy all the time.  That’s like saying you should be a perfect human being and never make a mistake.  It’s nearly impossible to live up to that standard.

Rather than focusing on being happy all the time, you must look for the meaning in life’s situations.

Maybe you’ve encountered a difficult time in life.  You look around and see other people are happy and not dealing with the same difficulty. In this moment, you have two choices.

You can choose to let this get you down and believe the world is out to get you.  Rightfully beating yourself up for feeling negative emotions about your current situation because life isn’t perfectly happy all the time.

The second option is to choose to acknowledge that there is meaning in this situation.  You may not see it now, but once you’ve made it through the other side, you can look back and find meaning.

Finding the meaning in a situation can be a lesson you need to learn in order to prepare you for the future.  It could also have a bigger meaning that you’re meant to share what you’ve been through with others to help them get through it faster, easier, and without as much heartache.

Unfortunately, it’s hard to see the meaning in a situation when you’re going through it.  You don’t know the real meaning until the dust has settled and you’re in a better place.  You can look back with new perspective and say at least I have a lesson and story to tell out of this past situation.

These difficulties in life make us stronger and better human beings for overcoming challenges.  Life would be so boring if you knew exactly what was going to happen.

Life is unpredictable. The only thing that is constant is change.  You take the good and the bad and make the best of it.  Knowing there are lessons to be had and people’s lives you can help by sharing what you’ve been through.

The meaning of life is not to be happy or perfect all the time.  It’s to learn, grow, and become a better person in the process.  You can only do this by facing challenges and obstacles head first.

The key is to look at these situations from an abundance mindset.  An abundance mindset recognizes the negative thoughts and feelings you have about a situation but releases them knowing there is meaning behind it.

Instead of dwelling on the negativity, you choose an attitude that this is simply life.  This is part of being human.  There are good times and bad times.  When you choose to come from an abundance mindset, a place where anything is possible and there are no limits, life opens up.  There becomes so many more opportunities for you.

You have the choice. You can remain in the negative mindset, beat yourself up over feeling bad, and never fully understand the meaning behind the situation. Or you can choose to find meaning in life’s moments and know that it will make you a better person when you do.
