Three Tools To Believe In Yourself

One of the most powerful things you can do to achieve your goals is to believe in yourself.  Often you find yourself questioning if you’re truly on the right track.  Self doubt creeps in along with friends fear and worry.  You might think who are you to do something like this or perhaps will anyone even care.  But, deep down you care.  It’s something you want to achieve for yourself and you’ll feel amazingly proud when you do.  Here are three tools to help you believe in yourself so that you can achieve your goals.

 

Inner Support System

You need an inner support system as an inner guide that will cheer you along.  Get in touch with your inner guide.  She is a badass and truly amazing.  She can do anything she sets her mind to.  She is powerful, strong, and courageous.  This is you, but often times you forget about her because the noise of fear, self doubt, and worry drowns her out.  Instead, turn up the volume on the strength of your inner guide.  Sometimes that’s reconnecting with your inner child and remembering how carefree and curious you once were that flips the switch to believe in yourself.  Or maybe it’s recalling how you felt the last time you achieved something amazing.  Tune into these feelings and find that inner support system that will help you to believe in yourself.

 

Mantra

Next, come up with a mantra that you can turn to when you’re struggling to believe in yourself.  Maybe it’s that you’re doing great, something amazing is about to happen, keep going, you’ve got this, etc.  Find a set of words that you truly believe, motivates you, and gets you excited.  Rekindle that drive and fire within you to go after your goals in life.  Say your mantra when you wake up and before you go to bed at night.  Set a reminder on your phone to alert you with your mantra throughout the day.  Leave sticky notes around the house and set your mantra as your wallpaper on your phone.  Place your mantra where you can visually see it so that you’ll have the constant reminder to believe in yourself.  This is especially helpful when you need that extra boost of support and motivation to keep moving forward.

 

Evidence Folder

Lastly, write down all the evidence you have that empowers you to believe in yourself.  This can be past achievements, rewards, notes of kindness, etc.  Nothing is too big or too small.  Create a folder of all the things that you can look back on to recall all your previous accomplishments.  Reach for this folder when you’re doubting your abilities and remind yourself just how truly capable you really are.  These moments are evidence that you can do amazing things and it will help to instill that belief in yourself to keep going, even when times get tough.

 

 

You are so much stronger, powerful, and courageous than you give yourself credit for.  Tune into your inner support system anytime you’re wavering in disbelief.  Reconnect with your inner guide and pull from that strength to keep pushing forward to achieve your goals.  Find a mantra that empowers you believe in yourself.  Lastly, have an evidence folder you can refer back to that reminds you of all the reasons why you should believe in yourself.  Everyone hits roadblocks along the way to achieving a goal.  But, it’s having the tools to overcome the roadblocks that sets you apart.  Use these tools to help you believe in yourself so that can move forward and successfully achieve your goal.
