Three Steps For The Right Mindset To Achieve Your Goal

One of the most important things you need to have in order to achieve your goal is the right mindset.  Use these three steps to get your mind in the right place so that you can achieve your goal.


1. Clear Direction

Have a vision for what you want to achieve.  Even if you don’t know exactly how to get there, know where you want to end up.  Often times you get so hung up trying to figure out the perfect step by step process to achieve your goal so that you won’t make any mistakes along the way.  However, nothing goes exactly as planned.  Especially since you’ve never achieved this goal before.  Therefore, forget figuring out how you’re going to achieve the goal for now.  Just get clear on the goal that you want to achieve.  You won’t be able to get to where you want to be if you have no idea where that end destination is to begin with.  Get crystal clear on the direction you’re headed.  Write down what the goal is that you would like to achieve.


2. Take Action

Be disciplined to take action towards reaching your goal.  With action comes clarity.  As you start taking action towards your goal you’ll begin to get clearer on how you’re going to achieve it.  Each little step you take will move you towards your goal.  Some steps may feel like they are moving you farther away from your goal, but you just have to make small adjustments and continue to take action.  You learn as you go.  It’s not meant to be a perfect process.


Successful people realize this is a learning process.  In order to achieve your goal, you will have to do some things that are brand new to you.  This can be a bit uncomfortable.  You will have to do some things that you’ve never done before in order to achieve your goal.  Growth happens when you do things that are unfamiliar.  Commit to taking daily consistent action, even if it may be scary because you’ve never taken those actions before.


3. Drive

You must have a strong reason for achieving your goal.  Successful people have drive and will power to push through the difficult times.  This drive will keep you motivated when you want to give up.  It will help you overcome your fear and self doubt when you begin to question if you’re on the right track.  You do not get to where you want to be because of a lack of drive.  Along the way you will encounter setbacks and you may feel like stopping.  But, you have to keep going despite how you feel.  Even if it’s hard you have to keep going!  It is said that, “successful people hang on when everyone else has let go.”  You must have drive in order to reach your destination of achieving your goal.




You will find your way and achieve your goal when you know what’s at stake.  Consider what will happen if you don’t show up and take action.  Your goal will never be achieved.  Think about what that will mean for you and your life.  Realize the importance and what it will cost you if you don’t achieve your goal.  When you understand that, then nothing will deter you from achieving your goal.  There is no other option but to achieve your goal.  The drive at this point will be incredibly high.  You will be taking consistent daily action.  All because you have a clear direction on what you want to achieve in the first place.  Use these three steps to help keep you get in the right mindset to achieve your goal.
