Five Steps To Live Life To The Fullest

Living life to the fullest is setting goals and going after your dreams.  It’s living life without fear and regret.  It means not holding yourself back due to self doubt and lack of motivation. It’s doing the things you love and being surrounded by those you love.

 

Living life to the fullest is not sitting back and watching life pass you by.  Rather, this is someone who has lost their passion for life and desperately needs clarity on what to focus on.  Not knowing what direction to move in, it becomes easier to just simply do nothing.  Do not be the boat floating aimlessly in the ocean without a captain.  Know that you are the captain of your life.

 

In order to live life to the fullest you must first get clear on where you are.  Think about your life right now and how you feel. Something may feel off or missing. Perhaps you simply feel lost. You’ve lost yourself, your drive, your ambition, and you aren’t sure what goal to set next for yourself.  It’s time to stop feeling lost, floating through life, reliving the same day over and over again.

 

The following five steps will help you live life to the fullest.

 

1. Get Clear

Gain clarity on what doesn’t feel right in your life.  You may have had a hobby or activity that you enjoyed in the past that you’ve stopped doing. Maybe you enjoy cooking, going for walks in nature, reconnecting with girlfriends over coffee, etc.  Some of the passion may have escaped your life because you’ve stopped doing the things that you once loved.  Make list of these things that bring you joy in your life.

 

2. Set A Goal

In the past you’ve set a goal that you’ve wanted to achieve.  Right now, you might be struggling with which goal to set next.  Make a list of things that you want to achieve.  This could even be a list of things you want to do in your lifetime.  Creating this list will help you realize that there is so much more you want to see, do, and achieve in your life.

 

3. Create A Plan

 Choose something off your goal list and design a plan to achieve it.  Maybe this is traveling somewhere you’ve always wanted to go or even setting a goal to lose weight.  Write down all the tasks that you need to do in order to achieve your goal. Each day cross a few of those items off your list.

 

4. Let Go Of Negativity

 Think about what you can change right now in order to make sure you achieve your goal.  This could be letting go of negative thoughts or limiting beliefs.  Stop listening to the inner voice that says that’s too big of a goal for you and you can never achieve that.  Allow yourself to dream big and believe that you will achieve your goal.  Trust and belief in yourself that you can do anything you set your mind to.

 

5. Surround Yourself With Positive People

Often times when you’re struggling to achieve a goal you give up because you’ve lost faith. That’s why it’s essential to make sure you surround yourself with people who will cheer you on and hold you accountable toward reaching your goal.  Tell a friend or family member what goal you’ve set and allow them to check in with you on your progress.  Share your wins and your struggles because positive people will always keep encouraging you when you feel like giving up.

 

 

Living life to the fullest is no secret.  It’s taking control of your life and future by choosing a goal and working towards it. It’s not giving into self doubt and instead allowing yourself to dream big audacious goals.  Surround yourself with people who lift you up and support you. Do things that make you happy in life. Because at the end of the day you’re going to remember the memories you made and relationships that you formed. Don’t get to the end with regrets of what could have happened.  Live life to the fullest.
