Five Areas Of Gratitude

Finding gratitude can bring a lot of love, happiness, and light into your life.  This is especially helpful if you’re struggling to achieve your goals or just feeling a bit down about your progress.  When you’re going through a difficult time, it can be refreshing to remind yourself of the things that you are grateful for.  These don’t have to be big things.  They can be small things or tiny moments of time.  Here are five areas of gratitude to lift your spirts so that you’ll be inspired to take action and achieve your goals.


Dreaming In Nature

You can find gratitude in nature.  Nature provides a ton of beautiful landscapes to draw gratitude from.  From the morning sunrise, a flowing waterfall, snow capped mountains, a mossy green forest, to the sunset and shining moon.  These nature scenes can provide you with a sense of relaxation, peace, and escape.  Take in scenery and close your eyes.  Allow yourself to dream and reconnect with your goals for the future.  This will clear your mind and refocus your energy on what matters most to you.  Be grateful for the opportunity to be present in nature’s beauty. 


Loved One’s Support

Be grateful for your friends, family and loved ones.  This includes your pets, spouse, parents, etc.  Your loved ones can be major supporters in helping you to achieve your goals.  Whenever you’ve lost motivation, a loved one can give you that extra boost of confidence you need to keep going when times get tough.  Loved ones are cheerleaders in life.  You’ll find that a loved one often believes in you when you’re struggling to believe in yourself.  Be grateful for their encouragement and let your loved ones know just how much their support means to you.



One of the other areas you can find gratitude in is your memories.  The memories of good times and laughter that you’ve experienced in your life.  This could be achieving a major goal, celebrating with someone who has since passed, or even childhood memories that have shaped you into who you are today.  These can even be little moments of memories.  For example, enjoying fresh coffee in the morning or cuddling with your pet.  Memories are something to be grateful for as you will cherish them forever.  Recall the memories that you’re most proud of and grateful for experiencing.


Physical Things

The easiest way to find gratitude is in the things you have.  Such as, your worldly possessions.  As in, your house, car, electronics, etc.  You’ve worked hard to attain these things.  That’s not something that you should brush aside and take lightly.  Although, most of the time these things are taken for granted.  You often forget just how lucky you are to have these things.  From the roof over your head, warm meals on the table, clothes on your back, drinking water, to the electronic device you’re reading this on.  Count these things as blessings and be grateful as not everyone is as fortunate to have access to these things.



Lastly, be grateful for yourself.  Be grateful for your beautiful body and your ability to move.  To be able to get things done and take action towards achieving your goals.  You’ve made it this far in life and you have so much to be proud of.  Be grateful for your determination, strength, and will power.  Your confidence, courage, and compassion.  Your zest for life and dreams of the future.  Be grateful for yourself and all that you are.  Who you are matters so much and it’s something to be truly grateful for.



Create a list of what you’re grateful for from these five areas.  Then, refer back to this list when you’re struggling to believe in yourself and achieve your goals.  With this list, you won’t forget it!  Be grateful today and always for the amazing life you have.  There is so much to be grateful for.  Be grateful for all that you have and all that is coming to you in the future.
