8 Areas To Live Your Best Life

Feb 20, 2020

Here are eight areas you can focus on in order to help you live your best life!  Take the time to hand write your answers by putting pen to paper.  Go with the first thing that comes to mind and start writing.

1. Goals

Start by setting some goals.  Think about what you want to accomplish in your life.  These could be things that you want to do, places you want to visit, people you want to meet, etc.  Consider what would make you feel accomplished at the end of this year.  Write down some solid goals to work towards.

2. Charity

When you’re thinking about living your best life, it’s important to consider what difference you want to make.  Not only in your life but in the lives of others.  This could be giving back in the form of a monetary donation, time, energy, or providing someone with a resource to help out, etc.  Think about what things you would need to do in order to make a difference.  This in turnwill help you live your best life by making you feel good about contributing to important causes.

3. Habits

One thing that can hold you back from living your best life is bad habits.  Think about one bad habit that you need to replace.  Habits are hard to break but it can be done.  Most often bad habits cause a lot of anxiety, stress, and pressure that could simply be fixed with a good habit.  Consider what bad habit you need to let go of and what new good habit you can replace it with.  See how your life improves once you swap one bad habit for a more beneficial one.

4. Relationships

Relationships are key to living your best life.  The memories you create with those you love are treasured for a lifetime.  Think about who you need to spend more time with.  Set aside more time with a relative, friend, or spouse.  Maybe it’s real world connection you’re craving.  You may have thoughts of joining a mastermind or community full of like minded people.  Or perhaps you need an extra push to be more open and make heartfelt connections at your next networking event.  Challenge yourself to get to know someone better and build relationships.  Consider what relationships you can foster to help you live your best life.

5. Personal Growth

In order to live your best life, you have to continually grow.  If you were to become a better version of yourself by the end of the year think about what that would entail.  Name one area you would like to change or improve about yourself.  This could include, becoming more patient, a better listener, more spiritual, more present, a better spouse, etc.  When you grow you become better and so does your life.

6. Education

Living your best life also involves learning and expanding your knowledge.  This could be through learning a new language or mastering a new skill.  It’s important to make the time to become more proficient by increasing your knowledge and understanding of a specific topic.  When you learn new things, you grow and that experience helps you live your best life.

7. Finance

When it comes to living your best life, one area you cannot forget about is finance.  Think about how you want to feel about your money.  Maybe you want to save, spend more, donate, invest, make, or simply not worry about your money.  Consider how you want to feel about your finances when you’re living your best life.  Write down what you need to do in order to feel this way.

8. Fun Hobbies

Lastly, your best life would not be complete without having some fun!  Think about what you need to do more of that brings you pure joy.  These things are restorative and rejuvenate you.  When you take care of yourself you’re not only more productive but happier.  Identify what you enjoy doing and schedule it on your calendar.  Maybe that means getting a massage, going to a yoga class, doing a girls night or date night with your spouse once a week, etc.  Plan fun into your daily life so that, without a doubt, you’re living your best life!
